Job summary

The Children's Place in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques. You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and keep a clean store and backroom.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting current promotions, addressing concerns, and helping with stock, cashwrap, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing level of service
• Communicate value of merchandise and current promotions; offer solutions for out of stock items
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on the PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage and display standards
• Maintain neat, clean stockroom and customer-ready environment
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Guard assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures
• Inform leadership of maintenance/facility needs promptly
• Contribute to store goals and flexibly process stock when needed
