Job summary

Dollar General Sales Associate in Illinois is responsible for helping customers locate and purchase merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking items, and keeping the store organized and clean. You will work under the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while safeguarding assets.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and adherence to safety policies. Prior retail experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
