Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an entry-level associate to act as the frontline contact for customers, assist with plan-o-gram execution, stock and rotate merchandise, and help maintain a clean, organized store. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help ensure accurate transactions and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, and supporting merchandising and checkout operations in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in the stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep front end clean and help set up sidewalk displays.
