Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, set up and maintain plan-o-grams, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist with the sales floor. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help manage merchandise flow and displays.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, receiving shipments, assisting customers, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
