Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Associate to act as the primary customer contact, stock merchandise, build displays, and assist shoppers. You will process transactions, assist with inventory, and help keep the store clean and organized.

Ideal candidates will have basic math and cash handling skills, read plan-of-gram guidance, and be able to operate an IBM cash register. High school diploma preferred; consistent teamwork a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store in stock room or stock floor.
• Build and rotate displays; face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers to locate items.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with sidewalk displays as needed.
