Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a store associate to act as the primary customer contact, stock shelves, and maintain plan‑o‑grams and displays to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (preferred), strong communication skills, basic math and cash handling know‑how, and the ability to operate the IBM cash register while delivering friendly, efficient service on a fast-paced floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock in stock room or sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag items; collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners.
• Clean front end and set up sidewalk displays.
