Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store associate to provide friendly customer service, stock shelves, and process transactions on the sales floor. You will unload trucks, build displays, maintain plan-o-grams, and assist customers in locating items while keeping checkout areas clean and organized.

The role requires basic math, cash handling skills, and ability to operate handheld scanners and IBM cash registers. High school diploma preferred. This is a fast-paced retail environment with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
