Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the frontline contact for customers, stock merchandise, and maintain displays. You will help ensure planogram compliance and support cashier duties to provide a fast, friendly shopping experience.

The role requires standing and walking in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, greeting customers, and assisting with merchandise ordering using scanners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise guidance.
• Basic cash handling procedures and IBM register familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; face stock on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating products and operate cash register.
• Keep store clean: dust, mop, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Support ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
