Job summary

The Children's Place in Watertown, NY is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team with focused customer service, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques. You will maintain merchandise presentation, restock accurately, and keep the store and backroom clean and organized, while delivering fast, friendly service at the cashwrap.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and be available to work weekends, evenings, and varied

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to assist customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers and deliver appropriate service.
• Communicate value of merchandise and promotions; offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance needs to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Be flexible by processing stock as needed.
