Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as a friendly point of contact for shoppers. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and face shelves, and keep the store clean and organized.

You will follow planograms and merchandising guidelines, handle basic cash procedures, and assist with truck check-ins and displays. The role requires frequent walking and standing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving area, and help set up displays.
