Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise as needed.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise on shelves or move to sales floor.
• Build and maintain merchandise displays; rotate and face stock.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and assist at checkout using cash register and scanner; handle payments and make changes.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep store clean and maintain front end including sidewalk displays when needed.
