Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, stock merchandise, and maintain plan-o-grams. You will unload trucks, build displays, and assist shoppers on the sales floor while following company procedures.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, handling payments, and restocking shelves. The role requires punctuality, teamwork, and attention to store efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons, stock merchandise in the stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face items on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and operate cash register and scanner to complete purchases.
• Bag merchandise, collect payment, and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
