Basic Job Function

Greet and assist guests and members with the selection and purchase of merchandise as well as providing the guest with needed information in person and by telephone. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment by greeting and assisting guests and members with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Provide exceptional customer service by recommending merchandise based on product knowledge and guest preferences.
• Accurately process sales transactions using multiple forms of payment through the Resort Suite POS system.
• Maintain strong knowledge of merchandise, inventory, current trends, resort services, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
• Maintain merchandise availability and ensure the sales floor meets visual presentation and cleanliness standards.
• Build long-term relationships by recognizing returning guests and following up on customer requests.
• Assist with inventory management, including quarterly inventory procedures and stock organization.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally, documenting issues when necessary and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain organized, clean work areas while adhering to departmental standards, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues or safety hazards promptly and participate in meetings, training, and additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
• If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
• Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
