Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of North Louisiana is seeking a friendly Retail Associate at the Pierremont Store in Shreveport, LA. You will help customers on the sales floor, assist at checkout, greet visitors, and operate the cash register in line with Goodwill policies.

You will learn all departments to answer questions, stock and rotate merchandise, and help with merchandising and organization on the sales floor. A high school diploma or GED is required, and background screening will be completed as

• Prior retail sales and/or cashiering experience preferred.
• Background screening will be completed as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly, fast, accurate and safe customer service on the sales floor.

Provides friendly, fast, accurate and safe customer service. Provides assistance to customers on the sales floor and promptly assists in checkout at the register. Monitors the entrance and greets all customers. Accurately operates cash register and credit/debit transactions in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures. Must become familiar with all departments/categories to assist with customer questions and requests. Stocks and rotates merchandise on the sales floor. Assists with organization and merchandising of merchandise on the sales floor.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail sales and/or cashiering experience preferred.
