Job summary

Cash America Pawn in McAllen, TX is seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly, customer-focused service and help customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.

You will process transactions, evaluate merchandise, and maintain a welcoming sales floor while upholding company policies and regulatory guidelines. Commission is earned in addition to hourly pay, with benefits and support outlined in-store.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms and completing paperwork.
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas

Commission Information

Associates can earn 2-8% commission based on individual performance. Full details are provided during the interview process.
