Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They thrive on engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution. Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage, PLUS earns commission based on productivity! Actual pay depends on factors like location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handle sales and loan transactions according to policies and regulations.
• Manage cash and negotiable items securely.
• Answer incoming calls per standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of transactions effectively.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Perform duties including standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain certification.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible to work at multiple locations and on weekends/holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.
