Job summary

AbleLight in Wisconsin is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to serve our customers and donors with speed and care in a welcoming store environment.

You will operate the cash register, assist donors, stock shelves, and participate in fundraising activities like round-ups at the register. Flexible hours and benefits are available to support families.

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years or older.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand on your feet for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers professionally.
• Assist donors: transfer merchandise to the building and provide tax receipts.
• Stock the sales floor, rotate stock, and organize displays.
• Support fundraising at the register via round ups and events initiated by AbleLight.
• Additional duties may be assigned during the workday.

Responsibilities

• The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where our customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. Responsibilities include:
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers in professional manner.
• Support donors with their donations: Transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor. Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean.
• Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Actively participate and support raising funds for the AbleLight charity through “round ups” at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight.
• This list does not contain all responsibilities of a Retail Sales Associate. There may be other duties assigned during the workday.
