Job summary

AbleLight is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to help create a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for customers and donors. You will operate the register, answer calls, and assist donors with donations and tax receipts.

You will stock and organize merchandise, keep the donation center tidy, and participate in fundraising efforts through round ups at the register and events. Flexible hours support family needs while contributing to the AbleLight mission.

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years or older.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand on your feet for up to eight hours.
• Has a 403(b) retirement plan with 3.5% matching contributions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where our customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. Responsibilities include:
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers in professional manner.
• Support donors with their donations: Transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor. Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean.
• Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Actively participate and support raising funds for the AbleLight charity through “round ups” at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight.
