Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Washington to help guests transform their space with our home furnishings. You’ll guide shoppers, showcase styles, and create rooms customers love in a fast-paced, high-energy store.

Bring 1 year of customer service or sales experience, a positive outgoing personality, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. You must be legally authorized to work in the US and have a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process sales orders and adhere to cash handling protocols.
• Assist customers with credit applications and financing as required with thorough documentation of sales transactions.
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible.
• Assist in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and daily checklists.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including bi-annual inventory checks.
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide outstanding service experience for every customer and guest. Maintain a welcoming, professional, visible presence at the front desk; engage with guests, ensuring they are always treated in a cordial, respectful manner representing the Company's brand image.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders, adhering to cash handling protocols. Aid customers with credit applications and financing matters as required while maintaining thorough documentation of sales transactions
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible
• Aid in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including participation in bi-annual inventory checks
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards

What You Bring:

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, tug, and pull 25 IBS with or without accommodation.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred
