Job summary

Jacks Small Engines in Jarrettsville, MD is seeking a Sales Associate to support store management with daily operations and drive sales. You will assist customers, identify needs, demonstrate products, and help maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related retail sales experience.
• Knowledge of and/or experience within the Lawn & Garden industry.
• Strong customer service, decision and problem-solving skills.
• Have a positive attitude, be energetic, and service focused.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Must exhibit strong leadership and sound decision making qualities.
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for a Sales Associate in our Retail location in Jarrettsville, MD. This individual is responsible forassisting retail store management with daily store operational functions and sales activities to ensure positive store results and growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assistsall customers or potential customers in a professional, courteous, reliable, attentive, honest and responsive manner.

• Identitiescustomer needs and provides knowledgeable assistance to help customers select the correct product(s) to serve their needs.

• Demonstratesand explains products to promote sales or as requested by the customer.

• Remainsinformed on all new and existing products carried by the Company.

• Closesthe sale with a customer and suggests add-on product(s) for each sale.

• Helpscustomers with loading as needed.

• Helpsmaintain a neat and orderly sales environment, including all demonstration fixtures, product displays and work areas by downstocking, facing and fronting all merchandise in their assigned areas according to Companymerchandising standards.

• Processesspecial orders, locates and orders parts, informs customers when their merchandise is in, recommends stocking levels for frequently ordered products and maintains merchandising standards in assigned areas.

• Supportstelemarketing sales activities as required such as local phone calls from customers or potential customers.

• Protectsthe store against theft or other suspicious activity.

• Participatesin all non-commissionable events deemed necessary by the Company such as physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows and special sales.

• FollowsCompany approved Customer Service Standards.

• Keepssupervisor informed of important information developments, potential problems and related information
