Gone was founded in 2024 by Seattle-based founders Nick Huzar and Yash Wagh, who bring decades of experience in local commerce, logistics, and retail.
We do the work to keep things out of landfills. Our team is here to provide another option for getting rid of things you no longer use. We provide complimentary pickup at no cost and do all the heavy lifting, literally and figuratively. Our goal is to reduce waste and circulate neglected items including gently used household goods, office furniture, and other recyclable products.
The on-site Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for 2 key areas of the business:
Your love and knowledge of sales & providing an exceptional customer experience combined with your detail oriented and a bias for action work ethic, will be a cornerstone for your success in this role. People often comment on your ability to juggle multiple priorities. You care about the details and are aware that small things do matter. You take pride in communicating and sharing ways to be more efficient and innovative.
Please communicate your interest in this opportunity by submitting your resume. Ideally you’ll also include a brief cover letter communicating why you’re interested in joining our team and your ideal schedule.
We are aware there are other opportunities for you to consider and appreciate your interest in Gone. Our commitment to you is that if we engage you, we will provide thoughtful consistent communication and you will always be kept apprised of the getting-to-know-you-process (aka interview process). We look forward to hearing from you. No Agencies or 3rd parties.
At Gone, we believe in unlocking hidden value in the everyday items we no longer use. In American homes alone, there’s over half a trillion dollars worth of unused goods gathering dust, and it’s time we changed that. With over $590 billion in unused goods—$4,500 worth per household across 131 million households, we aim to make extracting value easier and faster for you.
The overall recommerce market is growing more than four times faster than the traditional retail industry, highlighting the growing demand for sustainable, circular solutions. Yet, decluttering and redistributing unused items remains time-consuming and inefficient, especially when you have a lot to clear out quickly. That’s where we come in. Gone reimagines the process, helping people quickly, efficiently, and profitably rid their homes of excess goods.
The global shift towards recommerce, where repurposing becomes the industry standard, is driving us forward. We’re fostering a circular economy by offering convenient, customer-focused, and elevated services that make it easier than ever to give new life to gently used items.
Our technology reimagines the entire landscape of consumer goods by providing a turnkey system to manage the removal and redistribution operations of stagnant, gently used items. Together with our partners, we are solving the need to drive preference for recommerce and reduce waste in our local neighborhoods.
Gone is driven to solve these challenges by creating a seamless system that allows you to reclaim the value in your items while minimizing waste. Together with our partners, we are reshaping the landscape of consumer goods and supporting a more sustainable, re-commerce-driven future.
