Job description

Retail Sales Associate - College Point

This position is located at the following store: College Point - 136-03 20th Avenue.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale in person and over the telephone.
2. Helping customers select merchandise by explaining the features and benefits of each product.
3. Gaining product and sales knowledge through various manufacturer and in-house training programs.
4. Selling extended service protection and installations on selected merchandise.
5. Entering sales in our computerized Point of Sale system, including customer, product, pricing, delivery, order status, and payment information. Following up on open orders until completion.
6. Promoting our P.C. Richard and Son credit card and processing applications through a computerized program.

Sales Associates are paid on a $1,200 bi-weekly draw versus commission formula. Average earnings range from $48,000 to $80,000 per year, with top earners making over $100,000.

*All new P.C. Richard & Son sales counselors must attend a two-week paid in-house training program prior to placement in a showroom location to learn our corporate culture, selling techniques, product knowledge, and internal computer systems.
