Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Front End Specialist 1 to assist customers and help maintain store appearance. You will be responsible for customer service, merchandising, and front-end operations, including greeting customers and operating the cash register.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude. Punctual evenings, weekends, and holidays are required; lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods are part of the job.

Internal Job Title: Front End Specialist 1

Position Overview:

The Front End Specialist assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance. They are responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with primary focus on the front end of store operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the front end.
• Accurately and efficiently operate the cash register.
• Be knowledgeable of current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.
