Job summary

Work World in Gilroy, CA is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our growing team. You’ll help customers, demonstrate product knowledge, process transactions, greet shoppers, and keep shelves stocked. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of retail experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Excellent verbal communication and friendly demeanor.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of products to customers.

Compensation: $16.90-$18.00 (DOE)

What You’ll be Doing:

• Demonstrate knowledge of products and services to customers
• Assist customers with request in store and over the phone
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and polite manner
• Always maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
• Complete customers transactions at the cash register including taking payments, and issuing receipts
• Tag prices and merchandise
• Contribute to team’s daily sales goal.

What You’ll Need:

• 1-2 years of retail customer service experience preferred
• High School diploma or general degree (GED) - required
• Willing to work nights and weekends
• Excellent verbal communication
• Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
• Basic math skills
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated sales skills and experience
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Bi-Lingual a plus
