Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ballwin, MO is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate for a part-time role with 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will greet customers, process sales, restock displays, and keep the store clean and welcoming for shoppers and donors.

Training is provided, with ongoing coaching from store leadership. Prior retail or cashier experience is a plus, and employee discounts are available.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and politely.
• Comfort working in a team to meet daily goals.
• Willingness to learn store procedures and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
