Job summary

Petstock Melrose Park is seeking an energetic team member who loves animals and delivering exceptional customer service. You will help customers choose the best care and products for their pets, and contribute to a friendly, helpful store atmosphere.

In this role you’ll handle sales transactions, keep stock neatly displayed, and stay informed about pet care, products, and services. Weekend and public holiday availability is preferred to support our busy periods.

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and customer service excellence.
• Experience in a similar retail environment.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
• Physically fit with ability to lift up to 20 kg.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture in-store where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

Requirements

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Experience in a similar retail environment
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products up to 20kgs
