We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Agronomist for our Brevant Seeds brand serving the Southwest Wisconsin Area. The Retail Sales Agronomist (RSA) role is responsible for owning the relationship, product training, demand creation, team-selling, and portfolio planning with retailer sellers.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide product training and support, through in-person or various media forms, with retail sellers.
  • Leverage and promote the portfolio, support the process, and build knowledge and confidence in sellers.
  • Understand and execute account-level strategy with retail sellers by collaborating with the Retail Business Manager (RBM).
  • Maintain sellers' focus on planning their efforts to drive business forward. Own the seller plan and execute it mutually with strategic retail sellers.
  • Drive retail sellers’ ability to demonstrate value beyond products to create demand.
  • Core responsibilities include sales execution, demand planning, inventory management, plot strategy, agronomy meetings, in-field trainings, and providing industry-leading support regarding Brevant products to key retail sellers.
  • Coordinate efforts with functional leaders in the area (Area Product Manager, Area Business Development Manager, customer service team, supply team, program team, etc.).

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Agronomy, Business, or Marketing; other degrees with related agronomy and field sales experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of agronomy and sales experience, with proven abilities preferred.
  • Strong agronomy skills, selling tactics, negotiation skills, and influence.
  • Understanding of Agronomy and Crop Production practices.
  • Knowledge of key Crop Protection products in the territory.
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and build a network of strategic sellers to increase demand.
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check.
  • Note: Visa sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this position.
