Job summary

Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont, is seeking a part-time Gift Store Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and handle sales at the POS. You will greet guests, answer product questions, restock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, inviting shop environment.

Position Overview

A Retail Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, processes sales using POS systems, maintains store cleanliness, and restocks merchandise. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

This role requires a strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and the ability to take direction while working independently.

• Sales Transactions: Process payments (cash and credit), returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems.
• Merchandising: Restock shelves and organize displays.

• Inventory Control: Assist with receiving shipments, picking up inventory from the on-site warehouse, restocking, and conducting inventory counts.

• Train in Yellow Dog inventory software used for receiving merchandise shipments.
• Assist in all von Trapp retail outlets (Outdoor Center, Lodge Gift Shop, and Bierhall) as needed during shifts.
• Take on additional hours during foliage season (August - October) and prepare for reduced hours during mud season (April - May).
