Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Cincinnati is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the development, coordination, and execution of safety initiatives across corporate, retail, and other units.

You will help promote injury prevention and OSHA compliance in new processes, equipment rollouts, and training materials. You will work with cross-functional teams and vendors to monitor incident trends, manage safety signage and technology platforms, and contribute to projects that enhance overall safety performance,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and minimum 3 years in a safety role.
• OSHA 10-hour certification; knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong training, leadership and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development, coordination, and execution of safety initiatives across corporate, retail, and other business units.
• Assist in processes and programs to promote injury prevention and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure compliance and safety improvements.
