Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions seeks a Retail Route Merchandiser to stock vending machines and micro-markets across client locations. The role involves merchandising, ensuring clean, appealing displays, and performing inventory tasks while maintaining safe driving practices.

You will interact with customers, upsell products, manage cash at kiosks, and report feedback to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the route.
• Must be 21 to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate products according to store layouts and promotions.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee; monitor shelf life and freshness.
• Deliver merchandise using company vehicle; load/unload safely.
• Collect cash from kiosks and follow loss-prevention protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell products.
• Complete full inventory counts as per protocol.
• Inspect food quality and appearance and report issues.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise products according to store layouts and POGs. Roll-out promotions. Gather and report customer feedback. Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold, to include , but not limited to soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastry, and snack items. Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee. Follow inventory-tracking and product-rotation protocols. Collect and record out-of-date, rejected,or unsold merchandise. Monitorstheshelf life of products to minimize spoilage losses.

Review inventory requirements toidentifywhat products are needed for each point of sale. Works closely with the warehouse to ensure all products are ready for delivery. Load and unload productsin accordance withproper safety protocols to prevent injury. Drivethecompany vehicle to deliver merchandise. Maintain open lines of communication with managementregardingaccount product changes andrecommendscheduling changes.

Collect money from kiosks. Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention protocols to ensure personal and property safety. Record transactions onappropriate formsand/or handheld device . Monitor and report any activity that seems out of the norm or raises specific concern about potential misconduct.

Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products. Ensure coolersmaintainappropriate temperaturesfor product storage. Perform routine cleaning,including, but not limited to, coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, countertops, floors, and windows, ateach point of sale.

Greet clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns. Provideproduct and solution suggestionsas needed. Provide Feedback and suggestions to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Full inventory counts must be completedand submittedasdesignatedby company protocol.

Inspect food quality & appearance; report stale products, review "pick" sheets, conduct finalwalk-through.
