Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions seeks a Retail Route Merchandiser to stock and refresh vending machines and micro-markets across client locations in Kentucky. You will represent Five Star with professional appearance, build customer relationships, and upsell snacks, drinks, and fresh foods while safely operating a company vehicle.

You’ll work independently along a defined route, maintain inventory, ensure products are fresh, tidy, and in compliance with planograms, and deliver excellent service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Consent to a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• DOT requirements require age 21+.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products per store layouts and promotional plans; roll-out promotions.
• Maintain inventory levels for items including snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and fresh foods.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee; follow rotation protocols.
• Load/unload products safely; drive the company vehicle for deliveries.
• Collect payments from kiosks; follow cash-handling procedures and report discrepancies.
• Inspect perishable items for freshness; ensure proper refrigeration and cleanliness.
• Greet customers professionally and provide product recommendations and route feedback.
• Complete full inventory counts and communicate product changes to management.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise products according to store layouts and POGs. Roll-out promotions. Gather and report customer feedback. Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold, to include , but not limited to soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastry, and snack items. Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee. Follow inventory-tracking and product-rotation protocols. Collect and record out-of-date, rejected,or unsold merchandise. Monitorstheshelf life of products to minimize spoilage losses.

Review inventory requirements toidentifywhat products are needed for each point of sale. Works closely with the warehouse to ensure all products are ready for delivery. Load and unload productsin accordance withproper safety protocols to prevent injury. Drivethecompany vehicle to deliver merchandise. Maintain open lines of communication with managementregardingaccount product changes andrecommendscheduling changes.

Collect money from kiosks. Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention protocols to ensure personal and property safety. Record transactions onappropriate formsand/or handheld device . Monitor and report any activity that seems out of the norm or raises specific concern about potential misconduct.

Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products. Ensure coolersmaintainappropriate temperaturesfor product storage. Perform routine cleaning,including, but not limited to, coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, countertops, floors, and windows, ateach point of sale.

Greet clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns. Provideproduct and solution suggestionsas needed. Provide Feedback and suggestions to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Full inventory counts must be completedand submittedasdesignatedby company protocol.

Inspect food quality & appearance; report stale products, review "pick" sheets, conduct finalwalk-through.
