Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions in Indiana is seeking a Retail Route Merchandiser to stock vending machines and micro-markets across client locations, keep displays clean and visually appealing, and upsell products to boost store performance. You will load and unload deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and report needs to management.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, enjoy working alone, and take pride in delivering excellent service while maintaining safe driving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the route.
• Must be 21 to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products according to store layouts and POGs; restock shelves and units; monitor shelf life and rotate inventory.
• Load/unload products; drive company vehicle; coordinate with warehouse for deliveries; report product changes and scheduling needs.
• Handle cash at kiosks; follow cash-handling and loss-prevention protocols; record transactions.
• Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of perishable items; maintain coolers at correct temperatures.
• Greet customers professionally; provide product suggestions; collect feedback to improve route efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandise products according to store layouts and POGs. Roll-out promotions. Gather and report customer feedback. Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold, to include , but not limited to soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastry, and snack items. Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee. Follow inventory-tracking and product-rotation protocols. Collect and record out-of-date, rejected,or unsold merchandise. Monitorstheshelf life of products to minimize spoilage losses.
• Review inventory requirements toidentifywhat products are needed for each point of sale. Works closely with the warehouse to ensure all products are ready for delivery. Load and unload productsin accordance withproper safety protocols to prevent injury. Drivethecompany vehicle to deliver merchandise. Maintain open lines of communication with managementregardingaccount product changes andrecommendscheduling changes.
• Collect money from kiosks. Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention protocols to ensure personal and property safety. Record transactions onappropriate formsand/or handheld device . Monitor and report any activity that seems out of the norm or raises specific concern about potential misconduct.
• Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products. Ensure coolersmaintainappropriate temperaturesfor product storage. Perform routine cleaning,including, but not limited to, coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, countertops, floors, and windows, ateach point of sale.
• Greet clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns. Provideproduct and solution suggestionsas needed. Provide Feedback and suggestions to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Full inventory counts must be completedand submittedasdesignatedby company protocol.
• Inspect food quality & appearance; report stale products, review "pick" sheets, conduct finalwalk-through.
