Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. This position requires Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, with instructions provided by the Bank. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation are also required, along with restrictions on performing as a real estate agent.

  • Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects to provide needs-based assessments, growing loyalty and identifying opportunities.
  • Conducts needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions for sales and service needs, including banking, investments, lending, and small business solutions.
  • Advises clients on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance convenience.
  • Supports customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
  • Builds relationships within the community by reaching out and generating appointments.
  • Addresses questions and resolves issues to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintains data accuracy.
  • Applies risk management frameworks to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality according to policies and guidelines.
  • Provides credit recommendations for personal and home financing, adhering to sound credit principles and Bank policies.
  • Works as part of a collaborative branch and market team.
  • Understands customer banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing strategies into conversations.
  • Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Finds creative ways to personalize customer experiences and improve overall branch service.
  • Contributes to business results and the customer experience.
  • May work across multiple branches with varying schedules.
  • Follows risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets and privacy.
  • Stays informed about the financial marketplace, legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Maintains current knowledge of products, practices, and trends, incorporating them into customer interactions.
  • Reports suspicious activities related to money laundering.
  • Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles complex tasks and escalations as needed.
  • Analyzes issues and determines next steps.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary education desirable or equivalent experience.
    • Canada-specific: Registration to sell investment products completed, if applicable.
    • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
    • Knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
    • Experience with retail investments and lending products is an asset.
    • Comfort with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
    • Experience in customer service or sales with a focus on personal experience.
    • Passionate about helping customers.
    • Results-driven and team-oriented.
    • Resourceful and confident in approaching customers.
    • Collaborative team player.
    • Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and creative response skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.

    Salary : $41,715.00 - $63,700.00

    Pay Type: Salaried
