Job Family Group: Retail Banking Sales & Service

Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance on financial solutions that are in their best interests. Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to ensure a positive customer experience and achieve business goals.

Additional Requirements: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. Requires Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, a criminal background review, and a credit history evaluation. Restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity may apply.

  • Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to foster loyalty and identify opportunities.
  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend tailored financial solutions, including retail investments, lending, home financing, and small business solutions.
  • Advise customers on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance convenience.
  • Support customer transactions based on branch traffic.
  • Build new relationships and grow BMO’s business through community outreach and appointments.
  • Resolve questions and issues, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Apply risk management principles to safeguard assets and maintain portfolio quality.
  • Make credit recommendations aligned with sound lending practices.
  • Work as part of a collaborative branch and market team.
  • Understand and incorporate marketing promotions into customer interactions.
  • Maintain organized and accurate work information.
  • Innovate to personalize customer experiences and improve branch service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
  • Experience with retail investments and lending products.
  • Experience in financial services and proficiency with digital tools.
  • Customer service or sales experience with a focus on personal service.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and adaptable skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Salary: $41,715.00 - $63,700.00 | Pay Type: Salaried
