Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Derby, KS seeks a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair refrigeration systems across Walmart facilities. You will use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand and power tools to complete repairs and support store operations.

The role requires EPA Type I/II or Universal certification, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. Strong teamwork and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling Type I/II or Universal.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/R vocational or technical certification with 2 years’ experience in maintenance or construction related to commercial HVAC/R.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction related to commercial HVAC/R or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Use work order system to manage repairs, support Stores and Store associates, and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
• Follow OSHA and EPA guidelines per Walmart safety policy and environmental guidelines.
