Job summary

City Thrift is seeking a dedicated team member to support our production area by keeping the workspace clean and organized. The role involves assisting with customer engagement on the sales floor, maintaining flow and inventory, and ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

The ideal candidate will be able to read and write, concentrate on details, and handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving items as part of a fast-paced retail environment in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, color coordinate, and tag.
• Ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement—Provides customers with fast, friendly and courteous service. Responds to customers' questions and/or takes initiative to find answers for them. Greet and assist customers on the sales floor while making eye contact and smiling.
• Assessing Work Flow & Inventory—Empty trash as it accumulates. Remove empty carts and replace with full carts as needed by production team. Move discards to baling area.
• Processing—Keep back lot clean of debris. Process furniture to designated areas.
• Work Area—Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area for safety and the most efficient production possible.
• Safety—Provide customers and team members with a hazard-free environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
• Communication—Communicate with Production Supervisor when dumpsters need to be emptied and note potential obstacles to efficiency.
• Meeting Targets—Support production in processing targets as assigned and discuss improvements.
