Job summary

Goodwill of Western New York is hiring a Retail (Backroom) Production Associate for our new Olean store at 2610 W State St, Olean, NY 14760. You will process clothing donations, assess quality for pricing, and aim to meet daily production goals while keeping areas clean and safe.

The role supports donation flow and helps turn donations into funds for community programs. This is an on-site position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Sort clothing ('softlines') donations into sellable, salvage, or trash categories following Goodwill standards.
• Assess quality and identify items of value for pricing.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality expectations.
• Prepare donations for the sales floor.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and production areas.
• Dispose of unsellable items using proper procedures (compactor/dumpster).
• Support donation door operations and assist with donation movement as needed.
