Retail Planner

Position Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Retail Planner to support inventory optimization, assortment planning, and sales forecasting for key retail accounts. This role plays a vital part in aligning product availability with retailer demand and collaborating cross-functionally to meet financial objectives. Experience in retail planning at a national retail chain is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with retailer planning teams to determine item-level and program investments, forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and support sales targets.
• Forecast company demand and oversee inventory pipeline for both replenishment and seasonal buys on a weekly basis.
• Work with merchandising and product teams to align sales trends with seasonal product development.
• Analyze historical sales data, sell-through rates, and market trends to guide planning decisions.
• Monitor inventory pipeline weekly and provide monthly performance summaries to recommend adjustments.
• Prepare post-season and ad-hoc reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Coordinate with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Partner with finance to align planning metrics with budget and margin goals.
• Communicate forecast changes and their impacts to stakeholders.

Systems & Process Management:

• Maintain accuracy of internal and retailer-specific planning tools.
• Drive continuous improvements to enhance planning efficiency and agility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field.
• MUST have 3-5 years of retail planning experience, preferably in jewelry, fashion, or accessories with national retailers (If you do not have this, please do not apply)
