Job summary

Signet Jewelers Limited is seeking a Senior Planner to lead financial and inventory strategies across omnichannel channels, partnering with Merchandising, Planning, DCs, Store Operations, and leadership to maximize sales, margin, and GMROI.

You will own category plans, drive pre-season and in-season forecasting, and manage inventory optimization and executive reviews to deliver profitable growth across Signet’s brands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of merchandise planning, inventory management, forecasting, allocation, or retail planning experience.
• Strong understanding of Sales, Margin, Inventory Turnover, GMROI, and OTB.
• Experience within an omnichannel retail environment.
• Advanced Excel, planning systems, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of pre-season sales, margin, inventory, and receipt plans at the Subclass level.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned to annual financial plans.
• Reconcile top-down financial targets with bottom-up merchandise plans.
• Own in-season forecasting and reforecasting processes.
• Maintain ownership of Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) systems.
• Conduct monthly OTB reviews and manage order placement to ensure affordability.
• Review monthly SKU-level sales and purchase forecasting with the SKU Planner.
• Develop and manage omnichannel inventory strategies that support Store, Ecommerce, and Flex Fulfillment demand.
• Lead assortment reviews, line reviews, and LRPs development and presentations.
• Partner with the SKU Planner and Buyers to analyze SKU-level performance and develop pricing, promotional, and inventory strategies.
• Provide cross-functional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and process improvements.

Position Summary

The Senior Planner is responsible for the development, execution, and communication of financial and inventory strategies that drive profitable sales growth and optimize inventory productivity across an omnichannel business. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Planning, Distribution Centers, Store Operations, and senior leadership teams to maximize sales, margin, inventory turn, and customer experience outcomes. The Senior Planner serves as the strategic business owner for assigned categories, driving pre-season and in-season planning activities through financial forecasting, inventory management, assortment optimization, and executive-level business reviews.

Responsible for successful development, execution, and communication of financial and inventory plans. Partner with site management team, merchandising, planning, DC, store operations and flex fulfillment teams to ensure maximum sales through all fulfillment channels. Implement strategies that meet and exceed sales, gross margin, GMROI, and inventory goals for all business categories.
