Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Retail to join our team in a full-time, 1.00 FTE, variable position. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will support clerical and technical tasks to help provide pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities include processing orders, labeling medications, assisting with IVs, stock management, and maintaining accurate records. A Washington-certified technician with strong customer service is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
Experience in hospital pharmacy with unit dose, IV admixtures, and pharmacy computer systems; retail experience considered.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Upon hire, Certified Pharmacy Technician – Washington.

Responsibilities

Enter inpatient orders/prescriptions and prepare labels for pharmacist check.
Answer calls within guidelines and direct to appropriate personnel.
Inspect medications for outdates in Pyxis stations.
Prepare IVs and labeling; label IV products and chemotherapeutic meds as requested.
Package drugs into unit dose packaging and maintain records.
Reconstitute medications with distilled water as needed.
Run fill lists and prepare medications for Pyxis stations.
Deliver medications and IVs to patient areas; manage inventory and controlled substances.
Enter patient charges and credits.
Check in orders, process invoices and backorders; restock medications.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
