Job summary

Cardinal Health Community Health Center is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and to foster strong patient relationships in the West New York, NJ area, with coverage at the Passaic site as needed.

This part-time/PRN role focuses on Thursday coverage and additional PTO as required, offering growth in a community-focused healthcare setting while ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registration in state where the position is located (if applicable).
• PTCB certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
• 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• 340B experience preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, and nurses.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering prescription medications.
• Organize medications for dispensing and prepare labels and quantities.
• Deliver medications to patients and manage ordering as needed.
• Support 340B program compliance with the pharmacy team.

Community Health Center Retail Pharmacy Technician

Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.

This is a part-time/PRN position covering every Thursday and PTO as needed.

Main location is in West New York, NJ. Coverage for Passaic site as needed.

North Hudson Community Pharmacy Hours

• Monday 830a-5p
• Tuesday- Thursday 830a-7p
• Friday-Saturday 830a-5p
• Sunday Closed

Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
• Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
• Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
• Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities
• Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Registration in state in which the position is located (if applicable)
• PTCB Certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment
• 1 year of retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred
• 340B experience preferred
• Fluent in Spanish
• May require vendor credentialing

Anticipated hourly range:$24.60 per hour - $34.59 per hour
