Cardinal Health is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician for a part-time/PRN role to support a company-owned retail contract pharmacy in New Jersey. The primary site is West New York, with coverage for a Passaic site as needed, and hours on a North Hudson schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, preparing labels, profiling prescriptions, and delivering medications to patients. Fluency in Spanish and state registration are preferred, with 340B experience valued.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
• 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• 340B experience preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff.
• Adapt to changing pharmacy requirements as department needs evolve.
• Be available to customers/patients at all times.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude with customers.
• Keep the pharmacy safe and clean by following procedures and regulations.
• Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions, labeling, and calculating quantities.
• Ensure medication availability by delivering medications and reordering as needed.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to follow best practices regarding 340B.

Community Health Center Retail Pharmacy Technician

Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.

This is a part-time/PRN position covering every Thursday and PTO as needed. Main location is in West New York, NJ. Coverage for Passaic site as needed. North Hudson Community Pharmacy Hours - Monday 830a-5p - Tuesday- Thursday 830a-7p - Friday-Saturday 830a-5p - Sunday Closed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
• Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
• Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
• Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
• Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Registration in state in which the position is located (if applicable).
• PTCB Certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment.
• 1 year of retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred.
• 340B experience preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• May require vendor credentialing.

Anticipated hourly range: $24.60 per hour - $34.59 per hour
