Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Store 1335 in South Dakota. You will assist licensed pharmacists with preparation, labeling, medication distribution, and data entry in the pharmacy system.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, certification within 18 months (CPhT or ExCPT), and willingness to work 36 hours per week, including some holiday rotation and weekend hours. Benefits eligible and paid time off are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Prepare, label, and distribute medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Support daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
