Under pharmacist supervision, supports the pharmacy department in areas such as inventory management, medication preparation, distribution, compounding, processing medications and supplies, handling specialty medications, and recording medication histories. Assists with medication processing functions including answering phones, taking refill orders, entering orders into the system, preparing medications for pharmacist check, and disbursing/shipping/delivering medications. Responsibilities also include stocking supplies, maintaining inventory, delivering supplies, maintaining records, and possibly assisting in bulk compounding and IV preparation. Works with pharmacy staff to minimize medication errors, exercises sound judgment, anticipates potential issues, and applies policies and procedures to resolve or escalate challenges.
Preferred: 2+ years relevant experience.
