Job summary

Lackey Memorial Hospital's Morton location is seeking a reliable Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in daily operations, including preparing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to accuracy, and a passion for helping people. MS licensure and prior retail/pharmacy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration in MS.
• Prior retail or pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and computer systems.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Manage and label medication containers and packaging.
• Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing issues.
• Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
• Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Receive, stock, and monitor inventory of medications and supplies.
• Operate the cash register for over-the-counter and prescription sales.
• Comply with state/federal regulations and store policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.

Job Summary:

our pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in all
daily operations, including preparing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and
delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This role

Key Responsibilities:
