Schedule: Full Time

Shift: 8am - 8pm M-F, 10am - 6pm Sat and Sun, days will vary

Location: 601 East Rollins Street Orlando, FL 32803, floating to all 9 outpatient pharmacy locations in Central Florida

The role you’ll contribute: The pharmacy technician performs supportive duties to assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring patient care aligns with AdventHealth's philosophy and policies. The technician manages daily department operations, handles high work volumes with minimal supervision, and participates in outstanding customer service while maintaining respectful relationships.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Prescription processing: assist with prescription flow, obtain patient and insurance information, update pharmacy software, and ensure accuracy and timely dispensing under pharmacist verification.
• Prescription preparation: prepare medications, compounds, and labels under pharmacist supervision, including controlled substances, demonstrating medication knowledge and mathematical accuracy.
• Communication: liaise with patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions, transfers, and delays, and communicate efficiently with the pharmacy team about prior authorizations and assistance programs.
• Inventory management: maintain stock levels, monitor inventory accuracy, check expiration dates, coordinate stock replenishment, and ensure proper storage conditions.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• PHAR-C Certified Pharmacy Technician, registered with The Florida Board of Pharmacy.
