AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician in Los Angeles to support pharmacists with dispensing, packaging, and clerical tasks under supervision.

The role requires CA Pharmacy Technician license, high school diploma, and ideally 1 year of experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; a valid BLS certification or higher is recommended.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• A Pharmacy Technician License through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing and packaging duties.
• Carry out repetitive, non discretionary tasks per established standards.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain accurate records in the pharmacy system.

Job Overview

The Retail Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with performing pharmacy-related duties. Under the direct supervision, the Pharmacy Technician performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other nondiscretionary tasks within established standards and guidelines. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing clerical functions.
