Job summary

AltaMed Health Services in Pico Rivera, CA, is seeking a Patient Services Advocate to warmly welcome patients and manage front desk relationships. You will support patient-focused care with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, helping create a positive and efficient experience for every visitor.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 1–2 years in customer service, and bilingual abilities; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a customer service agent, greeter, or receptionist preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to the needs of all patients, creating a positive front-office experience with compassionate, respectful service.

Job Overview

The Patient Services Advocate is an AltaMed ambassador by welcoming and attending to the needs of all patients and creating a positive front office patient experience by managing expectations while demonstrating compassion and respect. The Advocate also functions as a member of the health care team by assisting in the delivery of patient-focused care by demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience required as a customer service agent, greeter, or receptionist- preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.38 hourly
