Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to provide timely, accurate, cost-effective pharmaceutical care under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This role aligns with the Ohio Administrative Code within a hospital ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include accurate preparation and timely delivery of patient medications, assisting with Meds2Beds enrollment, inventory management, and processing insurance claims.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPT or PTCB certification and State Board of Pharmacy registration are required.
• Six months of experience in a retail or hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists in retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications for patient administration.
• Prepare and deliver patient medications accurately and timely.
• Assist with enrollment and processing of Meds2Beds patient medications.
• Maintain inventory and stock of medications.
• Assist with prior authorizations for medications and with insurance claims processing.
• Document distribution of medication for proper use and reimbursement.
• Enter and retrieve information from electronic health records or prescription processing systems.

Education
