Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ, is hiring a retail pharmacy technician to prepare, dispense and compound medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will support pharmacy operations and ensure safe, timely therapy in a fast-paced team setting.

The schedule features four 10-hour shifts per week (9:30 AM–8:00 PM) with occasional weekends; hire-on incentive up to $2,500. Minimum qualifications include AZ licensure or intern status and 160 hours on-the-job

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Arizona license requirement wallet card at time of hire.
• 0–2 years relevant work experience; 160 hours of on-the-job training required.
• Strong customer service focus with problem-solving abilities; basic math calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision; deliver to patient.
• Handle phones, accept prescriptions, and communicate with patients.
• Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work area, and support admin duties.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; perform other duties.
